Creative, playful coaching that helps children practice the activities recommended by their therapists in everyday life.
Kids Helping Hand works with parents, children, and their therapeutic professionals to make practice engaging and personal.

About Kids Helping Hand
A child therapy coach helps a child work toward goals identified by their therapeutic professionals through creative activities and positive reinforcement. Think of it as an extra set of hands for practicing between therapy visits.
Kids Helping Hand is a New York City pioneered tutoring service that collaborates with parents, children, and therapists to guide kids through therapy activities in fun, creative ways. Our mission is to help each child reach their full potential.
We want children to enjoy the process of learning and parents to see progress through playful, carefully tailored sessions.
Families may use a coach when therapy visits are limited, when home activities are hard to fit into a busy day, or when more than one child needs support at the same time.
Each program is customized for children of all ages, from premature infants to adolescents.
Programs
Activities are based on the areas for improvement identified by your child’s professionals and adapted to your child’s interests.
For premature twins with low muscle tone, a coach might help both children practice motor skills with a homemade obstacle course or playground activities.
For a child practicing particular sounds, sessions might use imaginary play, I Spy, and matching games centered on those sounds.
For pencil grip, playful activities like picking up small objects or uncovering “dinosaur bones” in clay can build finger strength.
Kids Helping Hand provides tutoring and coaching support. It does not provide evaluations or certified therapists for child intervention.
Getting started
An initial consultation helps identify your child’s needs, your family’s preferences, and a schedule that fits.
The coach observes a therapy session and consults with the therapist to develop activities for practice at home and in everyday settings.
Sessions can take place at home, in a park, or another favorite setting. A reward system may help children stay motivated and track progress.
